The Trek Top Fuel is a race machine and is because of this the suspension is tuned for optimal pedal efficiency. Over the past year we have seen a large number of customers complain of the Fox Re:aktiv shock feeling very harsh with little bump compliance.
Luckily, we have been able to combat this issue with a revalve of the piston assembly. This does slightly decrease efficiency, however opens up the low speed compression circuit just enough to better absorb chatter. The tune does not adversely effect the lock-out circuit.
Typical revalves are around $25 if associated with a full rebuild or $60 without a full service.
